Nigella's Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Muffins
Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Muffins
It's chocolate for breakfast!

Oh Nigella! She's so one of my favorites! Always calm, fun and nice to others, I just want to hang out at her house. I especially want her midnight snacks. Whenever I watch her show, she is always making a midnight snack...or I just keep watching the same episode.

I wanted to make a muffin. I wanted chocolate. And wow. Nigella's recipe came up on the Food Network website!

This is super easy to throw together in the morning. I used 3/4 c of regular size Nestle semi-sweet morsels in the batter and 1/4 c mini morsels for the topping.

I got 15 muffins (her yield is 12). I think the 400 degree was too hot and the bottoms were a bit dry. I would lower the temperature to 350 or 375 next time.

Mmm, I love Nigella, mostly because I love the way she describes the food she's making or eating. She makes everything sould so delectable.

Those muffins look yummy too.

How did you find these muffins? I was going to make them, but some people were saying that there wasn't enough chocolate flavour. I saw the Nigella episode for this.. I'm so jealous at how she makes everything look so easy and quick!! I acutally went out to buy the whisk that she used.. hahah.

And.. she is always having a midnight snack, although I've probably watched a couple episodes more than once! I'm so addicted to watching your cook and bake. She is really calming and fun

steph, the choc flavor isn't too strong, but i think the addition of the chips give you enough choc flavor. i served these at 8 am, so i didn't want a cupcake. however, they aren't as crazy chocolate-dense as some of the chocolate "muffins" sold at bakeries (which, i think, are really choc cupcakes!) :)

Those look absolutely delicious. Double chocolate is a great way to start the day. I will have to get a copy of the recipe.

these look so nice. I tried this recipe however i think these were too light for a muffin.

In my book, that would be the perfect Halloween breakfast. Nothing like a little chocolate to prep the belly for a day of candy.
