Trader Joe's Cinnamon Sugar Grinder (& a little giveaway)

Trader Joe's Cinnamon Sugar Grinder
Trader Joe's Cinnamon Sugar Grinder

Have you picked this up at Trader Joe's yet? I love it! I have the black pepper and sea salt grinders...but this one is the best! :)

With school back in session, who wouldn't like some cinnamon sugar toast?

Trader Joe's Cinnamon Sugar Grinder
The grinder is full of sugar and cinnamon chunks that you can grind into your own topping. I've used it on toast, but it would be great on baked apples, warm fruit, or as a easy topping when you bake muffins.

Trader Joe's Cinnamon Sugar Grinder
Don't have a Trader Joe's near you? Well, let me pause for a moment to feel sooooo bad for you! I have a friend who lived in Colorado for some time and finally moved back to California, yelling the whole drive back, "I'm going to live near Trader Joe's again!!"

If you live in the United States and don't live near a Trader Joe's, you can enter my quick little giveaway for your own Cinnamon Sugar Grinder. I'll send out a grinder to three randomly chosen entries. Be sure to leave your email address or twitter handle.
Giveaway ends Thursday night, 9/13/2012 at midnight PDT. Good luck!Giveaway closed. Congrats to winners: #34 niftyfoodie, #7 grace, and #46 sharonjo.

FCC Disclosure: I don't work for Trader Joe's - just love this product. I will be purchasing the grinders and paying for postage to winners with my own moola. Just one of those spreading the love things.

I had forgotten that I bought this! Have you tried the chocolate and coffee bean grinder? I was using it to top ice cream. Thankfully, I live near a Trader Joe's so I don't need to enter your giveaway.

Oh, thanks for the reminder that I need to head up to my local one and restock. Have you tried the new Indian frozen foods? So good. I'll chuck one of these in my basket along with a few of my other favorites.

Utah is a desert not because of the climate but because of the lack of Trader Joe's. I'd love to have access to their sunflower butter again.

No Trader Joe's near here. Which is probably a good thing for my bank account.

Shari said... [Reply to comment]

Such a great idea! Our closest TJ's is at least 45 mins away, not easy with 2 little kids! sbswww2 AT aol.com

I love cinnamon and it's so good for you. The nearest Trader Joe's is only about 1/2 hour drive. But it's the worst drive. Wall to wall traffic and road construction. It's been like that for years. I'd shop there more often if it was so painful to get there.

OMG! What a good find, but I just made a fresh batch of homemade cinnamon sugar mix and put it in a metal can shaker. While I thoght that was a good thing, I'm still going to check out TJ's cinnamon-sugar shaker:

1/2 cup evaporated cane sugar
8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/16 tep. ground nutmeg
1/16 tsp. kosher salt

Mix together and store in a metal can shaker. (I place a small piece of plastic wrap over the shaker holes when not in use to keep dust out.) Shake cinnamon sugar mix on anything you like (great on toast and reduced-fat cream cheese).

Aloha Mary,
I wanted to let you know that I enjoy your blog - baking is such therapy for me. I also love the library and the post you did about National Library day (or week/month - I can't remember) which prompted me to share weeks of baked goods with my local library. I wouldn't have thought to do it without your blog. They were so shocked and appreciative that someone thought to say thank you to them. We have a great library and we go at least 2 times a week for homework, programs and just plan old checking out books. I don't buy too many books anymore, we just use the library. Now I download books to my Nook for the kids when the library is closed. We went on Saturday and as the doors swooshed open - that library smell hit me, such memories. I am from the mountains right above Temecula and we didn't have a library, but we did have the book mobile. As a child without a TV, that was the greatest joy for me. I could live in the library. Thanks for the heads up about the cinnamon grinder. I live in Maui - no TJ's here. My Mother is coming for a visit for fall break at the end of this month, I will be loading her suitcase with TJ products.

Winning one would be fun too.

Hope you are having a fabulous day.
Sincerely,
April I
