Sweet Cream Biscuits - Tuesdays with Dorie
Sweet Cream Biscuits

For this week's Tuesdays with Dorie selection, Melissa of Love At First Bite chose Sweet Cream Biscuits on page 23 of Dorie's book, Baking: From My Home to Yours.

Sweet Cream Biscuits - Tuesdays with Dorie
I made half the recipe. I'm not really a biscuit gal...nothing against them, just didn't grow up with 'em, but I found these very tasty and will make them again!

I couldn't find my biscuit cutter. Then I remembered I don't own a biscuit cutter. Yes, I know I could have used a cup or something, but I just made rectangles instead.

Served with delicious jam and lemon curd.

I keep thinking I should buy a biscuit cutter, then I remember that the small olive can I cut the bottom and top off of works just fine. I've had it through at least three moves!

Nice job Mary - it looks like your biscuits rose beautifully! I'm not really a biscuit person either but these were tasty, even though mine didn't rise very much.

Well my work they look so good even if you didn't have a biscuit cutter! I got some years ago and they sit in the back of one of my drawers. I usually forget I have them.
Im glad you enjoyed thie recipe! I loved it!

Yum, yum yum! I usually suck at biscuit making, but had great success with this recipe as well.

I can't believe I missed your whole week of library fun. Sigh. We're moving next week. Been busy. But still love catching up with your blog. Off to go look at those cookies I saw just before clicking over to comment! ;)
We love libraries here at our house, too!

Yum! I was thinking about making biscuits after seeing all the great pictures, but I also don't have a biscuit cutter. Good to know you can just cut them.

They look yummy- especially with the jam!

what is the difference though between those and scones- only where i live we call what you have made here scones and yet scones in the US seem to be triangular?

Sorry for the random question!
