This week's selection is from Ashlee of A Year In The Kitchen.
On my first attempt, below, I made a full-size loaf and it was undercooked and sunk. On the second attempt, I used mini-loaves and of course, these got overcooked. Can't win!
This wasn't my favorite recipe - but a lot of other bakers loved it. I think I like my banana bread as just banana bread (okay, maybe with a few chocolate chips). Give it a try.
Be sure to check out the other Tuesdays with Dorie bakers!
Fabulous job! Fantastic marble!
ReplyDeleteYou are marbling a LOT today, with the pumpkin bars and the banana loaf. You've got marbling down to a science! If you average your two batches, they are cooked just right...
ReplyDeleteI love the mini-loaf pans. I think I'm going to have to look for some like that!
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty good. Nice marbeling photos.
ReplyDeleteIt looks good. But I'm with you on it just being ok. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteYour mini loaves look great. I totally agree... this was just okay. I should have added chocolate chips!
ReplyDeleteMini loaves! How cute!

Those pumpkin bars sound and look insanely good. And so does your banana bread. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove the mini loaves! Great job!
ReplyDeleteMy minis sunk too, but your pictures are, as always, stunning.
ReplyDeleteMarbling a bit, are we?
ReplyDeleteYou say they are too done, but they look fine to me!
Oh man, I don't suppose you'll try it a third time to get it just right? Great job anyway!
ReplyDeleteThe more mini-loaf pans I see, the more I want one. Not that I have anywhere to put one. This wasn't my favorite either, but I had fun with the marbling. =)
ReplyDeleteThis looks great! I love the mini loaves and your marbling looks so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis wasn't one of my favorites, either. Bring on the ice cream!
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't mine favorite either, but you live and you learn, huh? I definitely need a mini-loaf pan, though, your loaves look adorable!
