This time I made it edible!! Yippee!
Same recipe for the cream puffs and glaze...but I filled it with whipped cream, sugar and vanilla paste. It isn't as puffy as the first attempt because the whipped cream was much softer.
(See the post below...for the rest of the story!)
I love the pic of the filled, topless puffs - it's practically indecent! I'm glad your second attempt with vanilla whipped cream turned out tastier!
ReplyDeleteI love making this dough...there are so many things to fill it with! I bet that vanilla whipped cream was goooood...
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely making vanilla bean whipped cream next time!
ReplyDeleteSuch decadent photos. They look so beautiful and your puffs are perfect looking. Glad somebody concurs on the mint taste. My husband got this funny look on his face when he tasted my ice cream and asked warily, "what flavor ice cream is this?" I admitted that it was made with fresh mint leaves and that it might taste a little . . . green.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, they look lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as well! Glad it worked out this time!
ReplyDeleteoh, that first ring is gorgeous--how tragic! i'm sure the vanilla was darn tasty tho!
ReplyDeleteI love the vanilla speckles in the cream.
