Chocolate Souffle - Tuesdays with Dorie

Chocolate Souffle - Food Librarian
For this week's Tuesdays with Dorie selection, Susan of She’s Becoming DoughMessTic selected Chocolate Souffle, on page 406 of Dorie's book, Baking: From My Home to Yours. Susan is such an active baker! She is a true artist too...you should see some of her custom cookies and cakes. I don't understand how anybody actually eats her creations, they are too pretty!

I made 1/4 of the recipe and did it all by hand. I have the cutest mini ramekins and 1/4 would have made 5 of them. I baked the minis for 17 minutes at 400 degrees.

Souffles are impressive and yet pretty easy to make! If you can whip egg whites and fold ingredients, you can make a nice souffle. Impress your friends with this delicious dessert.

Thanks Susan for picking a fun recipe! Be sure to check out the other Tuesdays with Dorie bakers!

Souffles always remind me of this little French restaurant in Singapore... so yummy! I'd heard they were tricky so I steered clear... perhaps I ought to try though!

I've never seen mini-ramekins before but you made the cutest Chocolate Souffles with them! I can't believe a quarter recipe makes 5 of them!

I have been such a bad blogging friend Mary! I fell behind on my commenting in the past week or two but I'm catching up now. I can't wait to see everything you've been baking/cooking up around here lately.

Your souffles are, of course, gorgeous! Weren't they easy and delicious? I ate both of my minis myself :)

Your pictures make me wish I had used my little ramkins too.

I also like your watermark--label on the picture. Really adds some class I think.

yours look sooooo wonderful! I saw the posts about quartering the recipe and halving it...and was going to..but then went all-in and did the full recipe. Next time, I will do the ramekins (so as not to eat so darn much of it!)

Wait--did you say you did it all by hand?! Whites and all?! Good for you! :)

I have a couple of those tiny ramekins. I need to pick up a few more as they are super cute and perfect for portion control. :)

You must have bulging biceps! By hand??? I'm impressed... these look fantastic! Another set of wonderful souffles - I must be doing something wrong. Love the photos - chocolate looks so incredible against (in) anything white. :) Nicely done!

Um, what do you mean, did it all by hand? Do the egg whites fall into that category? Major props to you! Love the mini souffles.
